Antigens present on erythrocytes and the potential pitchforks they may roll dirty with.
*K8
I’m studying anatomy, if you can’t tell. And this is a piece of artwork I dedicate to my mother. It’s very kitchen fridge worthy.
I should probably explain what’s going on in the picture, but maybe it’s better if you scroll back and stare at it for a while? What’s different or the same about these little red cells and those 2-pronged pitch forks?
Please note that the erythrocytes holding the pitchforks would only pick them up and use them if the foreign blood type is present. They are not attached to the erythrocytes. The pitchforks represent the potential antibodies; the angry variably eyed tomatoes represent erythrocytes with antigens present based on their blood type. Erythrocytes do not have googly eyes of various number irl.
This is not meant to be completely scientifically sound. Please consult your own, current, anatomy book to check on the correctness of my humorous cellular anatomy cartoon.
